This was my last purchase of 2012, the hard to find RIA 22 TCM/9mm Combo.
I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos about the 22 TCM and was amazed at the performance, over 2000fps, recoil is minor and it’s accurate out at 50 yards.
I have been looking for one and missed my chance with two that were listed on Gunbroker, both sold before I could make my final decision to buy.
While I was at my LGS witnessing the crazy circus of panic buyers I mention to my contact that I was looking for the TCM, he stated that he had one coming in that very week, I asked him to put my name on it and call me when it came in. Picked it up after Christmas for $620.00 and bought a box of 22 TCM for $25 :wow: to try out.
The RIA 22 TCM comes with a 9mm barrel, this was a win win situation for me because I wanted a 1911 style 9mm anyway. Another plus is the high capacity mag, double stack 17 round 9mm or 22 TCM. You only get one mag with the gun, ho-well, one is better than none. Finding another mag will be troublesome until all the panic buying is over.
The TCM ammo price did not detour me because I will reloading this round. I found a source for the brass, bullets and dies, along with reloading data.
Hope to hit the range this week!
