Sounds to me as thought they may be misplacing their "trust" in the customer base....

'Semi-automatic rifles' covers an awful lot of rifles. It's just a matter of time before they go bankrupt or they modify their policy.

They just did a group buy for lowers for my local site as well back in December. Now they want to pull this crap. They just shot themselves in the foot.

Are you talking about Palmetto Armory?

I think that is different from Palmetto Firearms.

A lot of people buy lowers from Palmetto State Armory, they don't have anything on their website about this.

That's their sign, not mine. They apparently have a store called Palmetto Firearms in Columbia, SC.

There's a list of their stores here

Went by both Palmetto Firearms and Palmetto State Armory in Columbia SC today. Everything was good , found some 38 sp. and 45 ACP Blazer brass and 45 ACP PMC BRONZE ammo for $17.99 @box so I grabbed 6 boxes of each , leaving about 20 boxes of each for fellow shoppers .

So I'm guessing this refers to Central Firearms in Tampa. Figures. They are a small store that sells mostly to cops. But I was going to recommend them to a few cops for ammo purchases.

Now they are dead to me. No more recommendations.

They did not have the same sign? Mike @ Dana said all stores have the same policy now.

One of my local stores is ceasing all sales of AR-15's and any magazine over 10 rounds. They said it's a new corporate policy from the home office in Colorado.

We should start a polite FU chain letter and e mail the corporate office.

Anyone???

I did not see any sign. I think Lawman's is owned by Dana now. I didn't go there.

I would say its because our LEO's are having a hard time getting ammo and rifles with all the panic buying.

But it's not like they actually spend time at the range and use this stuff. I mean... There cops for gods sake. :-D

Looking at the company's website, they seem to be 99% LEO supplies. If they choose to cater to that subgroup only, that is their business decision. If they don't want our money, I can oblige that request.

Head office is in Colorado. But most of the stores listed are near Tampa and SC. I thought Central Firearms here was independent but they may have been bought out years ago when I noticed the staff change. Yes, it's mostly cop supplies. And often I see firearms for sale to LEO only but was told the prices were marked lower for cops. I'm ok with that. But to apply the 2nd amendment only to LEO is an idiot move.

I used to buy all my pepper spray from them for my Resturant. Usually 6 cans at a time. Oh well. Time to find a different dealer.

I don't want any gun dealers going out of business. I want them on every corner.

These folks need to hear from their customers though. Don't just boycott them without telling them why.

Good point but I think they will get the hint when their business drops off. Need to call all of their car companies and tell them you will buying and servicing your vehicles elsewhere.

I stand corrected, it was Palmetto Firearms in Columbia SC not Lawman's that is owned by DSS.
I know during the last frenzy in 08 Lawmen's would not sell any rifles to the general public because they claimed they had contracts to fill, which is reasonable, but I haven't been back there since.
When I went in the Palmetto Firearms the other day, they had NO rifles on the shelf and very few handguns. I DID NOT see any sign. I did not ask about the policy . I did ask when their next shipment was due and inquired about a AR. They didn't tell me they could not sell me a rifle. IMHO they are waiting on some merch to arrive before putting up a policy sign to avoid any backlash from customers..

Southern Firearms is just five minutes from my house. I bought a rifle from them last year. The guy who often helps me when I visit is as nice a fellow as you'd ever meet. Looks like I'm going to have to walk in and politely tell them that the new policy will have to change before my next purchase.

I don't want to live in a society where only LEOs are armed. The heck with that.

My local forum has exploded on this topic.

After a local Sheriff posted that he would no longer purchase from them his latter went viral.
