Looks like they caught on and listened to the public. Has a front night sight, checkered front strap, no FCS and comes with a set of great looking half checkered wooden grips. Says the MSRP is $1299, so I could see it selling in the $1100-1150 range.

Is there any truth to the rumors that Remington is using Filipino frames/slides? They are very tight lipped about their source giving only the usual corporate BS. :dunno:

I haven't read the article yet, but next time I need to take the Brown's to the Super Bowl or drop the kids off at the pool or in layman's terms, drop a deuce, I'll know more on the subject matter.

I had heard that this gun was made overseas and they stamped a Remington logo on it...I can't find that source but I think I read it over at sig forum.

Nice looking 1911. Price would have come down for me, too.

Nice looking pistola, but I agree with everyone else. $300-$400 too much.

Is the front strap checkered or they used the cheesy clip-on checkering thingiemajig? I can't tell from the photo.

That looks nice! If only Ruger would make theirs with front strap checkering and novak night sights or fiber optics

Looks great and lots of good features. I agree with everyone else saying it's a bit too pricey at MSRP.

The Remington is a fine looking pistol. Still not a fan of the firing pin safety.

I always thought dropping the kids off was more of a self pleasure reference... :uglylol:

I'd love to see a reasonably priced, lightweight commander sized
1911.
