Looking to buy another pistol my LGS has a MP40 Ruger SR40 and a Glock 23. The Glock is $60 higher than the S&W, so I'm leaning toward the Smith. Tel me about your S&Ws.

The M&P is a great pistol.

I just got an M&P 9 Pro series. The gun does not lock in my hand like the Gen 3 G19 does. The trigger on the pro is great except for the non trigger reset. I got talon grip on it now but it doesn't do much. I will try the Hogue grip with finger grooves to see how that feels. if your a Glock guy and love the glocks trigger reset u will not like the M&P. The trigger on my pro is less pull lbs then my glocks with 3,5 connectors and polish job.

I was thinking of getting a 40 cal myself, but Im just a Glock guy. So I will rent the Gen 4 G23 and M&P 40 to see which one I like better. The aftermarket still is lacking for the M&P for as long as its been out. They have the Apex trigger kits that are suppose to help out a lot.
THe M&P feels good in the hands and points naturally. Mine came with night sights, 3 back straps and only 2 mags and worked trigger. I do like the feel of the M&P trigger on my finger and it does not get pinched on bottom of trigger guard like on my Glocks
M&P IMO is the closest thing to the glock

You won't regret getting one.
My wife have one. Has about 2000 trouble free rounds.

I'm all M&P for carry, home, car and competition. I've sold all the glocks.

Plenty of aftermarket support for the parts that need it, like holsters.

The triggers do suck out of the box. Shoot it a couple hundred rounds and clean along with a polish job and by 4-500 rounds it'll be pretty good. It's a combat pistol not a bullseye piece.

They have a great product going right now after some of the refinements.

I love the M&P. I even made a few review videos of them.

I love my M&P's. I have full sized guns in .45, .40, and 9mm.

When I switched from .40 to .45 for duty carry I got a M&P. put TFO sights on and it has been fantastic.

M&P isn't a bad choice. The ergos are not for me, but I have friends that love them.

Why do people make a big deal of pulling the trigger to field strip? WTF?
