Does anyone have any experience in disassemling a glock mag after the magazine insert has been depressed and it has lodged down in the mag, cannot remove the floor plate due to spring pressure. Any suggestions?

The spring alone should not stop you from removing the base plate.

Push in on the bottom sides of the mag & use more force on the base - it will come off.
