What was the metal thing that bounced off? It looks like the bullet hit whatever that was, entered the gel, flipped 180 degrees and no expansion. Not unusual for SP's in a handgun.

It's a steel target that I use to hold the denim in place. The bullet didn't hit it; it was launched by the temporary stretch of the gelatin.
