Slide Wear?

I have been carrying my G21 around 1 year now in a Serpa 2 holster. I know slide wear is a fact of life but mine seems to be suffering quite a bit by now http://ingunowners.com/forums/images/smilies/sad3.gif

I try to take very good care of it, clean it monthly or after every use at the range. When not being carried it lives in it's holster which either then sits on a towel on my night stand or on a towel on a table beside me. Is this normal? Is this a problem? Should I contact Glock?

My opinion? No, certainly not going to be a problem as far as durability or performance is concerned. There was a point when a few surface marks might have bothered me a little bit but I quickly came to realize that Glocks are never going to be a "show piece". They are simply great functional well performing pistols and as long as they meet those standards I'm in. Good that you are taking care of it. Hang in there and enjoy something that exquisitely fulfills its primary objective. It shoots and shoots well. Mission accomplished.

You can't hurt a block! Don't give it another thought.

You may want to clean the holster (inside). Dust particles rubbing against the slide.

By slide wear I'm sure you are talking about exterior wear from the holster. As said above it won't hurt anything and is just cosmetic. I is normal for any gun that lives its life in a holster. I doubt glock would do anything about it as far as warranty.
