I cant find one anywhere here in ohio? Seen them on gunbroker extremely overpriced, and i would really like to handle one before i buy, what to do any idea where to get one? And what kinda prices are they running? Thanks

In three or four months, we'll start seeing threads about finding the XDS 9 and the Shield will be back on the shelves. That XDS 9 looks pretty sweet and holds one more round w/ the extended mag.

Im going to the gun shop to take a look at an xds 45 ( pretty much same specs as 9mm) and a shield that is in lay a way just to get a feel for both, the make my decision to keep shield hunting or hold out on the xds 9mm. BIG Thanks to glock for that slim single stack i was really waiting on, jerks :)

I will give you an excuse. We just turned on the air conditioner here in the bunker. :supergrin:

Well, I just picked up a Shield today. My friend has an XDS. We put them side by side and they are virtually identical in every dimension. The XDS has Glock like trigger that stays to the rear and has the feel of a Glock. Problem, like the XDM, is that there isn't a lot of aftermarket support (like Big Dots).

I will likely pick up an XDS 9 when they are available.

Can you order them direct from S&W? My co-worker ordered his from a broker I want to say 2 or 3 months ago (don't quote me though) and he's picking his Shield .40 up on Friday. They look pretty b/a..

I REALLY like the looks and features of the new VTAC. M&P! I saw it last weekend on outdoor channel. S&W sponsoring a wounded warrior, apparently the first wheel chair they have sponsored. KUDOS TO S&W!!! He is shooting one. I was pretty impressed!

I need to put my hands on one of those!

Saw one today at LGS.

As far as the shield, he said they are on order. They come in every now and then. He told me put name on a list, as he only has a display one. It is very nice and slim, great for summer carry! I wish they would start making them without a safety.

Just put my name on the list, 5 ahead of me, gouging at 499 but im gonna have them price match to another local store that has them for 419.00 anyways he said 2-4 week wait
