Is it even doable to make a Glock 29S model? I would be all over that!! I know the 10mm has higher pressures than the .45 cap but isn't the 1911 chambered in 10mm super thin? What about making a G20s and G21s? At least make a G21s.

But I guess making the G20s and G21s would make Glock do some R&D (which they are slow at) since the G30 just came about by putting a G36 slide on top of the :dunno:

Sure, a G20S could be done, as well as a G21S and a G29S. But that would require Glock to be innovative, and that just won't happen. I think it's laughable that they just caught on to the 36 slide on a 30 concept! I've been reading about it here for YEARS! When Gaston finally heads off to that big Strüdel shop in the sky, whoever takes the reins of that company should really start DOING something. I'm hoping their engineers have drawing hidden in drawers, just waiting for the day they can pull them out and produce them.

I don't think so. The reason they 21 and 30 have such fat slides is that they are built on the 10MM 20 and 29 platform. Glock built the 20 and then 29 to handle the stoutest 10MM loads. Then they removed some metal from the inside of the slide to reduce its weight for the 45ACP so it would cycle. Basically, the 21 and 30 are built on a 10MM gun. Most other gun makers adapted their 45ACP guns to 10MM, with various degrees of success. One thing that can be said is that the 10MM Glocks are the toughest out there.

I can see then donig a thin slide 21 (21s), but only if an LE agency requests it. I don't think we'll ever see a skinny 10MM Glock. But then again, I have been wrong before...

They should start by putting a thin slide on the GAP's. The GAP's were supposed to have the thinner slides when the prototypes were out.

Man, I agree. As a GAP fan, I would love for that to happen. I don't know what happened there. You are right, the first pictures released showed the 37 with a normal slide. Obviosly the Glock guys rethought it. But I would love to see a thin slide ont he GAP pistols.
