I think I am becoming one.Never like glocks.Last year I bought a FDE XD45 compact.....2 weeks later I was in another store picking up stuff and walked out with a "Glock 45ACP".I didn't have a clue what I just bought other than I loved the grip and the price was right.Later figured out it was a 21 Gen 4.Used but shot great even if it still has those big ugly worthless chunks of plastic on top glock calls sights. Then I was told by a friend that has a glock too that my trigger felt different.Low and behold I have a Ghost rocket setup in mine. Not bad for $550!Now a few weeks after that the XD goes bye bye.Co-worker bought it.....guess what, the 21 is still here.Well,a few weeks ago I walked into a store north of here for the first time....and it was love at first sight.Flopped down the plastic and walked out with a new peice of plastic!A G29 with Tru dots, ext slide release,2 10 rounders with Pearce extentions and a 15 rounder with a unknown extention. Now today,I go by there again to pick up some ammo to test out my new plastic fantastic Hi-Point Carbine(hey,$65 for gun without bolt handle or mag.Got a mag for $20 and made a new bolt handle out of a allen bolt) fell in love again. This time I put a 31 on layaway. Also while there I put down $60 for a ghost and install on the 29.Already thinking of another purchase or two in the near future after this.I want a 22 and maybe a 17 so I can get all the calibers then start filling in the holes between models.Maybe see if I can talk a cop buddy into buying a 25 or 28 though his job and then sell to me at a premium!

I was shooting USPSA with an HK USP in 40. It broke a trigger bar in a atch--to its vredit it finished the match. ANY other handgun would have been in the dead cockroach position after stage 2, but that gun went 4 more stages and almost 100 rounds. Needless to say, I was sold, but she hadda go back to HK to be fixed.

I bought a gun I knew I'd sell immediately when it came back, a GLOCK 22. I hated GLOCKs and everything about them. I bought it. First trip to the range, and the light shone down from heaven--it was a superior gun for that type of shooting! I went to GLOCK right then. I made aster class in LImited with a G35 and never looked back.

To answer the original question: You are at the number 1 Glock fanboy spot, but there is also the new Glock ID group starting up from Glock. I never cared for Glocks before (spent nearly a year teaching Iraqi Police officers how to use them with my civi LEO liaison), but after holding the Gen 4, I changed my tune. I have a G17 and am looking at getting a G26 for a summer gun...Gen 4, of course.

Be prepared for many more, I started last January 28th and bought The G32 .357 sig. And from there it was on, so in one year I have gotten 13 Glocks and still looking for more. When it gets really bad you start having to hide them to keep people from finding out you are buying soooo many, I had one spell where I ran across a guy on GT that was selling three, a G22 RTF2 with gills, a G27 And a G19. And got all three like new guns for about 350.00 each. At one time I had six Glocks in my truck waiting to go to the safe. It is an addiction, and I don't want an Intervention! Lol

Had a $2500 custom 1911 that I loved. Ran in to financial issues a few years back and had to sell it. Picked up a blue label 17 Gen 3 last year, installed sights and 4.5 trigger and grip plug spent under 800 for gun, holster, 2 mag pouches and accessories. I have to say I like it better. Glocks are for me!!

When you will argue till your death that Glock should be the only pistol you own and 1911's are garbage. The OFFICIAL GLOCK FAN BOY ID CARD will arrive in the mail 6 to 8 weeks later..

Over the years I have been on a quest to own at least one of every major name brand semi-automatic pistol. With the exception of one un-named brand that I’m not going to fool with, I have now done that. I have had several of a few of the brands and only one of a few brands. I’m now settled on Glocks—older Gen 3’s. They work.

When you sell guns you had from a different maker and you immediately think "What Glock should I get with the money?"

Is one of the symptoms also you accidentally buy the wrong magazines and instead of taking them back you look for the model gun they fit? Guilty as charged.I bought some G33 mags(9 round 357sig) thinking I needed different mags to shoot 357 sig in my G29 with a conversion barrel.Asked the store about the mags(were listed as used on the cheap table) and if they would fit a G29 with conversion barrel. They said they would. Now I have mags that are way too small for the G29 frame and would rather find a G33 instead of taking them back.

A couple of years ago I bought a bunch of new mags when they were still cheap, including five G21 and five G23 mags and I don't even own those guns. I had a G21 and regretted selling it. I know sooner or later these two guns will be in the stable.

That's a definite symptom... I just own one Glock. A Gen3 19. Until it is right I can't see going off the deep end with Glock.

Hk Dan, is who I credit with turning me to the dark side. I was a Sig guy and listened to him sing the praises of Glock for a few years. After a three day Pincus course in 2009, I figured I would figure out what all the fuss was about. I bought a Glock 19 and that was it. With in a few months I sold all the Sigs and bought a G26 and G34. I am up to 7.5 Glocks now, if you count the dedicated frame with my Advantage Arms conversion kit. I have no doubt I will continue to buy more Glocks.

Real Ultimate Fanboy status is achieved when you start to believe that Glock is the ONLY reliable brand, and rationalize why a Glock with a few FTEs is more reliable than anything else that has zero fails.

If you ever try to fix a failure plagued gun by rubbing it with a Glock, that's also a good indicator.

A different manifestation of this.syndrome: Buying ANY factory Glock mag out of a bargain bin ... Because I know it will work in one of my Glocks!

Brethren, you're fanboys already if you are reading this post (at least in MY book) because you are discussing Glocks on GlockTalk. Your interest transcends the range and street environments into...cyberspace.

If I REALLY had to characterize a given shooter as a Glock "fanboy", I'd look for the following characteristics - owns at least one Glock (not merely issued - must have "ownership"), handles all semi-auto pistols as if they were Glocks (overhand rack, racking the slide 3x in a safe direction after removing magazine to clear), and believes any handgun with a trigger reset longer than Glock's "safe action" is inferior. +1 to your fanboy-ness if you desire to own (or already own) a Gen1 G17, a .45GAP, or a .380 Glock.

And if you own an authentic Gen1 G19, you are a fanboy beyond definition.

When you buy a GEN4 G19, get hit by all (or most) of the ejected cases (if they do eject) and claim the gun is Perfect.:snoopy:
