Is the barrel all i have to change. Or do i have to get the mags as well?

Just a barrel. I'm really happy with the quality of KKM barrel in .357 SIG.
Thanks for the reply, i want to get a factory Glock barrel.

I ordered min from Lone Wolf 1-13-13 and I received it in USPS mail Saturday 1-19-13.
I am very happy with their speed and the fact that I have two guns from one now with such little effort :)

The followers on 40 and 357 mags are different.
Lots of folks use 40 mags and 357 ammo without problems.
For the range? Use whatever.
For carry?
I prefer to use what Glock designed for that ammo.
I use 357 mags with #2 followers.
You can swap the followers between mags.
Or buy followers separately.
With the crazy,
getting high cap 357 mags may be close to impossible.
If you have some extra 40s?
You can still get the 357 followers and convert some of those.

Haha. I have one of those too. But I found I really like the stainless finish and .357 barrel hood markings on the KKM. It really makes it apparent when the .357 SIG barrel is in use. The factory barrel is marked, but you have to look close. No big deal if you don't switch back and forth a lot.

That's funny.
I'm dyslexic and swap barrels a lot.
I too like the color visual for what caliber barrel is in my hand.
My barrel finishes;
1) OEM Glock
2) Fail Zero Nickel Boron
3) Flat Black Isonite QPQ
4) Natural Stainless

Yep. I like the confirmation when the pistol is in my hand too. Especially if you have loaded mags of both calibers laying around. Which I've learned NOT to do. ;-)
I think ill go that route and get just the followers. And as for the barrle i was going to polish it.

I love the way that glock looks for some reason. :)

It is not recommended to convert a 2nd gen G23 to a 357 sig..
As long as yours is at least a 3rd gen, you are good to go with only a bbl switch...

Interesting, failsafe. What is the reasoning behind this (I have a gen 2 G23)?
Thanks,
TK

To safely do the .40 >> .357 conversion, you must start with a 3-pin (vs. 2-pin) frame. The early G23's, etc. had 2-pin frames, and should not be used.
(2nd Generation was mentioned.....not ALL 2nd Gen G23's are 2-pin, though!)
The early G23/32 magazines were identical, even marked ".40/.357" on the back. Several years later, GlockInc. tweaked the follower a bit on the .357 version, but in my experience, they are still totally interchangeable.
