So I need a little help with my G17 Gen4, I've been doing some digging and it seems like I have all the right parts (maybe not?) and I'm still having pesky issues.

I have about 600 rounds through it, mostly BVAC, some Winchester and Tul. This is my first gun and I learned to shoot with it, so I thought maybe limp-wristing was causing the FTE.

My grip is much better, firm, and it ejects alright, but it seems like the empties just "fall out" instead of go flying out like my buddies ruger. Some cases, it does not last-shot hold-open.

Occasionally stove pipes, and my girlfriend shot it the other day (never shot a handgun before) and it wouldn't even eject the shell from the barrel for her, but when I cleared it and shot it after her, it worked fine. Gave it back to her, same thing. Again, occasional stovepipe instead of not even leaving the barrel.

This is so frustrating! This is my home-defense weapon, I need it to be working 100% no matter who is shooting it.

This might help. Or not, depends how you look at it:

Thank you everybody, I appreciate it. I have done searching, trust me it was time to ask.
