10-8 Performance Reverse Plug for TRP Operator

In case anyone is interested, 10-8 has released reverse plug specifically for the TRP Operator with bull barrel for use with GI guide rod.

I've been using the Dawson tooless guide rod, but ordered one of these just for GP.

Sorry for the dumb question but without a barrel bushing what do i need to make this run in my TRP?

I have been looking to be rid of the need to use a tool to field strip and was about to pick up a tool-less guide rod from Dawson when I saw this post.

Is it just a GI rod, spring and the reverse plug?

Yes...there is no bushing. You use this and retain your bull barrel.

The Dawson guide rod works very well too.

Thanks for the reply. I had heard good things about the Dawson guide rod as well but also read a couple places where it had failed.

That was what still had me interested in a GI set up.

Yeah I saw those too. I can assure you that the Dawson product is very high quality. I imagine that reassembly will be easier with Dawson than with the GI setup since there is no spring pressure on the slide while aligning the barrel link with the slide stop (idiot scratch). I'll find out as soon as this reverse plug gets here and I have time to play with it.
