Hello,

I Just purchased my first gun which is a Glock 22 Gen 4.. Hope to hear some great feedback on my purchase.. I haven't shot mine yet but I have shot a few Glocks as well as other guns.. Liked the Glock the best out of all.. When going to the range what kind of ammo would be best for this gun??

Welcome! My GLOCK eats anything, but I'd recommend Blazer Brass 180gr if its available as a good inexpensive round. I don't like WWB but I'll shoot it if that's all I have. Federal's bargain line has worked for me as well. Enjoy!

Welcome to GT.

Cheap ammo for long/frequent range time is good. I shoot anything that I can buy cheap and have had no disappointments.

There has been one brand that my carry doesn't like to shoot many FTF but others with different pistols like it.

Glocks should eat any and everything you feed them, hotter the better.

I haven't found an ammo brand yet, cheap or otherwise, the Glock 22 won't handle. You should be OK with just about anything -- even the cheap range re-loads.

Welcome and congrats on your new Gen 4 Glock. I have a Gen 2 G23 and love it great guns. For target I like 165 grain FMG it seems more consistent than the 180. Glocks will shoot anything they are not picky but so far I like Remington 165 grain brass FMG for range time. For carry/defence I like Remington Golden Saber or Speer Gold Point.

The Glock 22 was my second.
It has proven, like all my Glocks so far, to be utterly reliable.

Finally got around to taking a pic. of my 1st. GUN 1st. GLOCK G22 GEN4. I haven't shot it yet but man it feels great in my hand, didn't even need to put any of the grip extensions in..

Just waiting for a few things to come in from Cabalas, order a Howard Light electronic ear protection as well as the Ottis 22-12gauge gun cleaning kit since I'll be adding two more HG's and a shotgun..

Should I add any upgrades to the gen4?

Welcome, and congrats on your first Glock. I bought my first Glock, a G30SF a month ago and fired it the first time last night. I think it is will become my favorite pistol. It's very accurate and I was happy to see that I shoot pretty well with it--I'm not a great shot. Enjoy.
