Is my mag sticking too far out ?

I have a gen 4 G23 and a gen 4 G26. (see attached pic) The G23 mag (all of mine) sticks out and seems to have no recess for the mag. Is this normal on a G23?

If normal, just seems a poor design of the handle to me as compared to the G26/27. Is this normal?

I just looked at my G34 and the magazine looks about the same. Admittedly I never really noticed before tonight either.

There is no conceal carry where I live, at the moment, but it looks like the G19/G23 are less concealable due to this error in design to me. The heel sticks out a extra 1/4 inch for no clear reason.

Am I wrong or not seeing something?

I assume you have never taken a combative pistol course. One handed operation with a flush fit mag that won't drop can be an issue if the mag base doesn't have a lip. The gap give you something to work with.

If you think that little bitof extra mag is an issue for cc then just carry your 26. A lot of people cc full sized 1911s.

It's fine. I carry a 19 or 23 daily. Conceals fine.
