Getting a Glock 22 very soon. 90% sure I want to chop it to G23 length. Just in case mags get hard to find. Plus for carry reasons. Any ideas how I can do this my self? PS they didn't have a G23 at the time.

If yo uare looking to get a G22 and then destroy it, why not just get the G23. That way you won't have to waste $400 after you chop the 22 to pieces.

Any DIY chop-job (even semi-skilled) is a grand waste of time and money.
Some friendly advice; don't do it as you will regret it.
I have not seen any difference in the price or availability of 22 vs 23 mags at all.
Just look harder or wait until the panic subsides. 23's are out there.

I fully agree with the others, don't ruin a 22 and just buy a 23.

I am a newb, so bear with me...

This must be a hoax...I can't believe anyone would buy a new Glock and then chop it.

Is the OP named "Manti"??

nah...i'm teasing. but some people will buy a(n) ___________________________, and chop it to paperweight status. after that, they will post how they have a problem with it.

laughter/tears/gnashing of teeth ensues.

If I was going to try something like this I would send it off. It can be done, and done well, but I wouldn't risk it.

considering the work would probably be double the cost of the pistol, the already completed version is available.

too much of a risk for not much of a reward.

The work isn't that expensive...the guy everyone recommends for stippling does it for a reasonable cost.

Switched it for a G23.

all they had at the time was a 27, 36, 22, 19 ,17 so i went with the G22. then i went in and made a payment and it was sitting there. asked the owner if i could switch it out. sure he said ill sell that this afternoon.
