I was able to take my G17 out to the range this morning. I was actually amazed at how accurate it was with a variety of ammunition and how easy the recoil was compared to other 9mm's that I've shot.

It's no wonder it's such a popular pistol.

I put 150 rounds through it, 100 Federal Champion 115gr FMJ and 50 Blazer 124gr FMJ's. Not a single issue except I didn't have any more ammo to shoot :/

Good to hear you are happy with your new G17.

I bought my g17 since launch in 2010, I haven't shot it in almost a year just sits by the bed site. I wish I would have got a g21 instead.

I've only shot about 300 rounds through it, and its been perfect.:faint:

Every Glock collection should have a G17. I own a very early G17 Gen4. Its my range gun. I never get tired of shooting it.

G30 Gen 4 will more than likely be my next handgun purchase as my primary carry weapon. If it performs as well as the G17 does, I see no reason to look anywhere else. I just finished cleaning all the guns from the range and I can't help but smile at how much of a joy it was to shoot and maintain. Can you tell I'm a happy glock owner? :)

Congrats, love my Gen 4 17! Thinking about taking it to the range tomorrow, but hate to burn some of my ammo stash.

Congrats, love my Gen 4 17! Thinking about taking it to the range tomorrow, but hate to burn some of my ammo stash.

I know what you mean. I brought all my pistols home with enough ammo to keep my magazines full. Not ideal in my minds perfect world, but enough to feel safe in the near future.

Still waiting for Walmart to get some stock back in so that I can begin buying a box of ammo a couple times a month and replenish what I've shot.

Finding anything online is becoming a real chore...
