Picked up a small Plano Field Box last night at the store thinking I could use it to store something. This morning looking at the dimensions I thought this could work for magazine storage. So went out to garage. Note to self, need to get some kind of heat out there before next winter. I dug out some scrap wood Built a divider for the box. I then cut a 1" thick piece of foam to line bottom of the box, did this to protect followers and feed lips.

It will hold 15 mags total in standard or compact size. I don't have any sub-compact mags to see if they will fit it, I would think I'd have to make divider shorter for them. Heres what I ended up with.

That is e same box that Hornady and CCI ammo come in when you buy bulk. This is a neat idea.

Usually, I just fill it to the brim with my magazines. Never felt that they would be damaged or have any problems that way and you can fit many more.

If you want quick access to a specific magazine, your insert makes that happen.

I'm pretty OCD about storage and organization.:supergrin: I need to make two more now, Then I'll have one for G22/G23 mags, one for G17/G19 mags, and one for AA 22LR mags.
