Holy smokes, how far behind is Glock? I ordered a G39 8 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing. I know I live in NY and our Regime has imposed new laws that are criminal in nature, but I need a new gun! Any idea?

I don't know but my LGS has Glocks that have 5/2012 dates on them.
Only thing I can think of is G39 not popular?

I'd take a 30 instead but they are apparently on back-order as well.....

topgunsupply sent out an email today stating that they are getting delivery estimates of 24 MONTHS on some items (didn't say which ones).

Thank you Obama, for arming America to the teeth!

The owner of my local LGS (a stocking dealer) has been told that backorders for the more popular Glocks are approaching the 12-month mark.

Yeesh. :sigh:

Number I read said the current backlog is 600-700k guns, so I wouldn't be shocked if its at least a year.

I ordered 6 - 10 round Glock Mags. 3 for G26 and 3 for G19. I was told at least 12 weeks. I don't ever expect to see them. I live in New York and was trying to get them before 1/31. After then they can't be sold here. My friend that owns a gun store told me after 1/31 if you buy a Glock handgun here in NY you will get the case and handgun only, no magazines. Then you will have to wait until Glock makes 7 round mags for NY. When hell freezes over. Imagine that.....

I find that hard to believe. Gun shops around here are getting new stock regularly.

Do you reckon, they will ever realize that all those gun buyers can vote?

I'm sure they are, there getting Glocks that they order before all this crap has started. Go in there and have them order you a new G19 and see what they tell you.

Go to Academy sports and ask them to order you any Glock and see what they tell you. The other day I was in the Chattanooga Academy sports and they had one Glock on the shelf and the manger said he couldn't tell me when he was getting any new Glocks in.

One thing I'm worried about is, with Glock having to crank out so many guns in short order, will their quality control suffer? Think about it. If their capacity is completely maxed out, I picture Lucy on the line at the candy factory wrapping chocolates. I just hope they can maintain quality through this madness.

I'd bet these backorder times will never be realized. If the legislation fails many will likely cancel their orders. If it passes the result wil be the same, but for different reasons.

Academy hasn't run a gun advertisement, in the last 2 Sunday Houston Chronicles.

If indeed Glock did sell three to four years, regular production of magazines in one month,I'd say they are Backed Up. SJ 40

I know here in West Kentucky the LGS has a decent amount of Gen 3's in stock. Gen 4's are scarce but still more than you guys seem to have.

I seem to notice talking to locals we have more Ruger, Smith and Wesson and Sig fans. I'm even seeing people buy quite a few 1911's. Of course none of this compares to the mass buying of AR-15's and Ruger 10-22's. I can't keep 22lr, 223 or 556 in stock for at least a couple hours.

It's going to be a while. It seems that some parts of the Country are bare and others have a few. Once the panic buying ends we'll have more. This isn't the first time this has happened. It will take a while this time around.

I attended an Armorer's Course last week. The instructor said at that time the factory was behind approx 600,000 guns. This was BEFORE they received orders in from the distributors at the SHOT Show. Including those, he estimated the total to shoot up to at least 800,000 guns. He stated this was close to their entire production in 2012, which was the most guns they have ever produced in one year!

So, yeah, unless you find what you want on the shelf, I would say a year is not at all out of the question.

So...basically I should be thanking God that I was able to buy my Gen 4 G19 off the shelf at my local gun shop with the greatest of ease two weeks ago? http://i4.ifrm.com/2447/155/emo/51.gif

Not to mention three of the PW Korea made 33 round mags that they had a full box of @ $29 per mag, lol. My only regret there was not being able to get more.

Well you did good getting the G19 but can't say the same for the PW Korea mags.

A glock isn't a 1911, they are designed to be mass produced. I wouldn't worry about it.

There are still plenty of used Glocks out there. The local gunshops around here are out of Glocks, but the VA guntrader site and other on-line auctions have them available.

It's not the end of the world, but I can see it from here!

To put it into perspective I have about 4 law enforcement suppliers I deal with and all of those who sell any type of firearm are also the distributor point for LGS in a multi state territory. I called our distributor for the state we are in for Glocks to get some extra magazines and few more Glock 27s ordered and the sales manager told me they sold 16,516 pistols, 4200 rifles and almost half a million rounds of ammunition in about 13 days and were currently out awaiting back orders with a status of 30-60 days…

I'm wondering about that, also. I ordered a G32 Gen4 from my lgs in the end of Dec and had it within 2 weeks. The day I picked it up they had a NIB G26 Gen3 in the case that they had just received. I bought that one, also.

I've been at several gunshops around Charlotte and a 19 is impossible to find.I had a guy behind the counter tell me he can't get any Glocks period.Things seemed a little better when I went to shops farther from the city.I went to a shop in Florence Sc and he had a G21 Gen4,G21 SF and a G21 Gen 3.He priced the G4 at $599 and $549 on the others.I went ahead and bought all three since I was looking for a G21 anyways.I was shocked to see that Gen 4 on the shelf.Thats another one that seems about impossible to find on a shelf.

Two days ago, the LGS nearest me had one NIB Glock 19 on the shelf at $659.

It was gone in two hours.

I had my "dealer" set aside a g30 for me over the weekend and went in on Monday to pay and fill out the paperwork. He told me that they just got in a custom glock order for another customer with a note attached saying glock was backed up 600k guns and 1mil+ on mags. I'm thinking what you see is what you get for the next 12 months or so. I wasn't NEEDING a glock, but figured I'd get one while I still could.

I'm not a huge fan of 9mm but I came across a G19 gen 4 and grabbed it because they are scarce right now.The dealer even knocked off $10 so I paid $530 plus tax.The gun I really want is the G21 FDE.It usually gets a good laugh when I ask somebody if they could find one.I just don't want to pay $900 for it.

My friend at work today left a deposit for G19 G3 coming in this Friday. The LGS had 8 or 9 G19s on their way, Gen 3 and 4s. They all were sold except the one he got. I just bought a Gen 4 19 there last week for 579. So they are shipping. Ron

Methinks in a few months things will be fine. Inventory for most items will be in the pipeline by spring. People will be more at ease when they realize gun owner control legislation will probably get bogged down in the legislatures, even if any happen to make it out of their respective committees.

From the rumor/grapevine talk I've heard, Glock was already pushing manufacturing capacity. Their QC shouldn't be effected too much, even if they do ramp up production another notch or two.

One of the authorized LEO sellers told me Glock was prioritizing LEO sales, then the retail market, because of the demands and not being able to meet them for the next 6-9 months. :wow:

The last time there was a large demand for weapons Glock started bringing in the Austrian eagle proof stamped to keep up with demand. I was able to get the eagle on the 17,22,34&35. They should be able to do this again.

These pathetic, misguided, Constitution violating scum are trying to make criminals out of Americans who seek to peacefully own a lawful product.

You can't make deals with scum like this.

I ordered a Blue Label G4 G19 towards the end of December. I was told I was in the mid 40's on the blue label back-order list for that particular LGS. I was also told I could expect the gun mid January. I picked the gun up about a week ago. The sales rep I spoke with said I was lucky I called when I did. He said other than their January shipment, the next time they would be getting blue labels in would be this March.

Our local blue label dealer got in a few 27's yesterday. I went there today and they still had a few. One guy walked out with 4 of them while I was browsing the store. I would have gotten one myself but I'm set on the 19 and 26. Ammo was also low there but there was plenty of .40 on the shelf. It was almost tempted but I'm going to hold out for a few.

My Maryland LGS, a four person operation with an 500 square foot sales floor, received 70 NIB G19's (a few of those pistols had a few rounds fired through them by the security company that gave them up) in time to open Saturday morning. The doors opened Saturday at 10 am and by 3:15 pm, they were sold out. All face-to-face transactions. One G19 every 5 1/2 minutes.

I'm keeping my ammo choices/ stock and platforms to the 9mm, 357. sig and .40 (to a lesser extent).

I have a G32 on the way and will have drop in barrells in 9mm and .40 just in case. One gun three calibers can't beat it! As you can see in my signature I have mostly 9mm.

Just one guys set-up.

Anyone else have something similar?
