I received the conversion for my G21 a few days ago and was able to get out to the range and run a variety of my handloaded ammo through it. Compared to the G30 kit that I have had for a while the 21 is more comfortable to shoot, there is much less palm slap(trying to come up with a term for it). I found that the 21 fed some semiwad-cutter loads that my 30 hiccuped with, and was flawless throughout the shooting session (after a single semi-wadcutter nosedived, third in the mag, and third round through the conversion. It ws probably caused by a little limp wristing). I'm very happy with its handling at this point, just need to get some adjustable sights, Any suggestions?

I added some pictures to make the story a little more interesting.. No sight suggestions?
I looked at Dawson Precision and found an adjustable that looks pretty nice, any one use that adjustable sight on their G___?

Looks good! As for sights, I like the Ameriglo I-Dot or I-Dot Pro. It's a nice setup and I have them on all of my Glocks. But it's personal preference and luckily there are a lot of options.

Thanks, I'll take a look at them.

I love the Dawsons on my Rowland. Went with their red dot front. Perfect. reflex264

So I was wondering what does that 460 Rowland have over a stout loaded 10mm?

Can you give us some comparison on loads?

I am getting 265grs out at 1250fps from my Rowland and that isn't max. The 225gr Beartooth which weighs 230grs will exit at 1500+. Pretty stout critter. reflex264

1500+!!! WOW! From a 230gr. bullet!!! Ccould you or would you share your load for this type of fps.?

If you don't want to publish it for the public, you could pm me.

I assume all risks in my .460 Rowland G21, of course.

Thanks!

15.2grs AA#7 with the BT bullet. Start at 14.4 and work up.

In my own gun I won't shoot a steady diet of full power ammo. What I have started doing is loading the max loads for .45 Super in Rowland cases and when the need arises I can put together the bad boys. Loaded like a super with the comp the gun will live forever. reflex264

Love the 460 on the G21. The gun's big enough to keep control of this beast and make it genuinely fun to shoot...I hear you on the "palm slap" though. It'll make a man out of you. ;)

Regret the gen4 super-stippled grip texture at times. Seems the smoother gen3 grips would be easier on the hand. Oh well, the thrill of the KABOOM from this hand canon is well worth the adjustment. I can't think of a gun that's made me want to invest in water jugs and watermelons quite this much.

Hard to beat hand loads, but the 460 is definitely an amazing round ballistically...even with off the shelf ammo. I love how much fun this guy has (good real world test data too):
