View Full Version : Smith and Wesson model 19 2.5"
I have a pair of model 19 snubs. One is a 19-7 that I shoot plenty. The other is a 19-3. The -3 is in like new condition. It may have been fired before, but I don't see any evidence. No box, but you don't find them in this condition too often anymore so I haven't shot it. I shoot the -7 instead. It's not p/r, but it's a good shooter. Do you guys think I should shoot the older one or keep it in the safe. If I shoot it, I will probably end up carrying it.
I'll throw in a pic of my j frames while I'm at it. A 60 and a 37.
I wouldn't be able to resist shooting both. Is the 19-7 the stainless/nickle finish? I would probably carry the stainless/nickle as the blued version will be more susceptible to holster wear, etc. Gorgeous revolvers, btw.
Thanks. The older one is the nicked gun. The -7 is blued, but I'm not worried about the finish on it.
Thanks! Hope you like my background.
It it was mine I'd shoot it.
For me the enjoyment of shooting it would be worth more than any value I lost shooting it.
I passed up buying a M19 nickel plated snubbie last year and kicked my ass for it.
Guns are made to be fired and enjoyed...else why have them?
My 1980 era 2 1/2" model 19 was my most beloved gun I owned, until I just had to have the latest whiz-bang gizmo, in the gun case. Worst trade I ever made. Whatever I traded for is long gone, and sadly so is the 19. Never sell them. Unless to me.
I love the model 19 2.5 inch. My favorite revolver. They just handle so well. Beautiful pair you have.
