Just picked up a used Golani rifle. It came with a few magazines, but I'd like to pick up a few more before Colorado bans mags over 15 rounds.

Tapco makes polymer mags for the Golani that are reasonably priced. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they any good?

Any other suggestions for aftermarket mags?

I've also found some IMI mags. These range anywhere from $35 for used, to $69 for new. Are these typical prices for factory mags, or are they inflated due to the current political climate? I've never priced them before, so I don't know what's reasonable and what isn't.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Assuming they use the same mags as a standard galil in .223 dsa has them listed on their website, not sure if that means they are in stock or not.

Yeah, .223 Galil mags. I'll check out DSA.

Thanks.

I have not tried the TAPCO mags. Steel Galil mags work great, but beware of small dents that some of the surplus ones have had.
There were some South African R4 (Galil made in SA) polymer mags that were imported. They also work very well, but the spring compression is too stiff to reliably strip the top cartridge when fully loaded with 35rds. They work great with 34rds, though. Or you can load 35 and just give the bolt handle a shove to load the first round.

BTW, don't bother with the 50rd mags unless you just like the look. they are just too long and you cannot get a good position when prone or using a bench.

Those prices are inflated.

I picked up 10 Galil mags for like ~$13-15 a couple years ago.

My Golani eventually deformed it's ejector, but I got it replaced and now it's running like a champ.

Don't have any pics of mine right off hand, but here is a generic pic from the internet. Mine looks exactly like it.

I found a wood HG for mine and duracoated it. It also has a tuned replacement extractor by Jeff Miller.
