All I have to say is WOW!! :wow:

5 more days till I can purchase my 2nd. pistol.. So I Went to my LGS to check out what they have in stock and really nothing they are pretty much wiped out and waiting for shipments.. This is just MADNESS, but they did have a G22 mag and .40 ammo so thats what I walked out with.

I purchased my first hand gun last month which was a Glock G22 and am looking for a 9mm.. I was looking to get the M&P 9mm.. Any other good suggestions on 9mm's?

I am sorry you live in a Marxist State. Here in Texas, provided you are legally qualified to do so, it's same day cash/credit card and carry. If you have a concealed carry license, you do not have to to the NICS background check.

You may be able to go online to a company like Bud's Gun Shop and have them ship the firearm of your choosing to a local FFL. I do it from time to time. It costs me $25.00 for the transfer fee.

Here are some people to try that may ship to your FFL. You can google for their phone number:

Bachman Pawn and Gun - Dallas, TX
B&S Guns - Mesquite, TX
Guns and Gear to Go - Plano, TX
The Bullet Trap - Plano, TX
Cheaper Than Dirt - McKinney, TX
GT Distributors - 800-775-5996

They're about to shrink mag limits from 15 to 10 up there and concealed carry is a no-no, so I'm not sure how appealing a 9mm will be...half the grip will be empty. Have you considered a .45? The ammo is more expensive but slightly more accurate and available.

Seen the SR9 looks like a pretty nice one.. The Sigs are just to expensive for me right now.

If I was looking for just one 9mm...it would be a Glock Gen3 (or even Gen2 for that matter) 19...if you can find one.

jfrost11's whole idea of a 9mm conversion barrel for your 22 isn't really bad either. I'd seriously consider that.

Knowing what the standard mags hold, I'd say a G19 if you can find any mags, anywhere. Second would be a G26 since it holds 10 in the mag as standard and could be used with any 9mm Glock mag out there.

Another good thing is if you ever get out of that state, you can use the G26 for carry.

I just bought an h&k p30 and absolutely love it. It feels great In the hand, and shoots very well. Very different than my 4th gen g17.. If you have the cash take a look at it

Aikimo,

I'm new to owning guns, so my first purchase last month was a Glock G22 .40 S&W which I absolutely love and paid $570 for it.. I'm looking for a 9mm and would like to keep the cost about the same as the first one.. I have tested out my brother in laws HK .40 and was really not impressed with the trigger delay on it. I'm really liking the M&P 9mm.
