At least the Unions that support obama are going to get screwed to.
That's why the unions want out of obamacare.

Obamacare Tax on Union Member and Early Retiree Health Insurance Plans: Obamacare imposes a new 40 percent excise tax on high cost or “Cadillac” health insurance plans, effective in 2018. This tax increase will most directly affect union families and early retirees, who are likely to be covered by such plans. This Obamacare tax will be levied on insurance policies whose premiums exceed $10,200 for an individual and $27,500 for a family. Middle class union members tend to be covered by such plans in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Higher threshold ($11,500 single/$29,450 family) for early retirees and high-risk professions. CPI +1 percentage point indexed. (Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,941-1,956)

most of that is paid by an employer.

where i work the family "plan" is $620. per month out of my wallet with health, vision and dental. the deducables and co-pays are high as giraff *****.... but we are told we pay about 1/3 of the premiums and our employer pays the rest.

how much is that?

I thought the figure was high, but Union benefits??

Like Polisi said, We have to vote in obamacare before you can find out what's in it.

Personally, my Blue Cross and Medicare premiums have already gone up.
(Yes, when you retire you DO have to pay monthly Medicare premiums out of your Social Security check, and if you want decent coverage you had better pay for supplemental insurance, like Blue Cross)

Also personal,
I recently tore both shoulders and they were operated on.
I was told by several medical people I came in contact with, that under obamacare I probably couldn't get those operations at all.

The full price of health insurance for an employee + family is around $2K +/- a month. So getting to $29K is not hard.

Geez. And I thought health insurance was expensive HERE! I don't think I've ever seen a plan on annual renewal (I'm on my own, BTW - no company sponsored portion - and I do sleep with the company owner's wife. LOL) that starts with a TWO! Let alone approaching $2,500. Wow!

The average annual premiums in 2012 are $5,615 for single coverage and $15,745 for family coverage. Average premiums increased 3% for single coverage and 4% for family coverage in the last year. Consistent with recent years, average family premiums for small firms (3-199 workers) ($15,253) are significantly lower than average family premiums for larger firms (200 or more workers) ($15,980).

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Wow. All of a sudden, I think RomneyCare may have worked. I'm under $15K/yr. WOOT!

(Just kidding - the state is paying more and more and more and more every year BECAUSE of Romneycare. DeVille Patrick is running out of tax ideas to raise funds for it.)

“Four in ten Americans (42%) are unaware that the ACA [Affordable Care Act] is still the law of the land,” the report says, “including 12 percent who believe the law has been repealed by Congress, 7 percent who believe it has been overturned by the Supreme Court and 23 percent who say they don’t know enough to say what the status of the law is.”

The survey showed public opinion on Obamacare is at its second-lowest rating in the past two years.

It's just amazing how stupid a great many Americans are.

I sadly understand why they wanted it to pass before we would be able to figure out what is in it.
