.380 Vs .45 GAP:tongueout:

They are both fairly anemic versions of two of the more popular rounds I know of.

How many think a .380 with a modern JHP will perform just as well as a .45 GAP?

Who wouldn't be caught dead with the sissy version of the bunnyfart 9mm?

I'll take GAP.

How is GAP anemic? I thought it was up to snuff.

They are not comparable. The .380 ACP is very well suited for small lightweight carry pistols for CC, etc. It is not purposed for combat. Those who whine about that supposed lack of capability will always try to explain away the .380 ACP as something less than whatever round they prefer. Meanwhile everyone else will just go right ahead and load the round in their magazines and use it for what it was designed for... personal protection/concealed carry, a task at which it excels.

The .45 GAP is Glock's effort to produce a short .45 ACP. Like the .41 Rem. Mag., the .357 Sig., etc., it is a boutique caliber available in few pistols and of little interest to the vast majority of handgunners. It offers little of any real significance. It will die on the vine unless adopted by someone other than Glock.

Florida Highway Patrol is issuing them. Other than that, :dunno:

There was. Do not know if they still make it.

Um... .45 Gap is a short version of the .45 ACP., not less powerful.

The .380 is the low end of pocket pistol territory.

The only thing keeping the GAP in business are the LEO purchases due to female officers.

Will die on the vine, just like the 45 auto rim.

I can't believe the amount of people who took the original post seriously and started debating reasonably. Ha ha ha!!!
