Anyone had any thoughts about the harsh drought now in California. According to the weather gurus, this area in the past has suffered from droughts lasting 20 years. If that is the case, there will be a lot of people leaving this state and re settling elsewhere. Where will they go? Will they bring their anti gun politics with them? Who will be affected by this exodus?

Don't panic, nobody in kali is going anywhere. We have been through severe droughts before (although this one is the worst) and water rationing will easily handle it.

The main thing will be cutbacks in the massive water subsidies to the farms, along wit cutbacks to residential.

And the people in So Cal may have to fill their swimming pools less often.

Yup you will be de populating if you have a mega drought as has been the case historically with this area. I am talking about a 20 year drought.
Climate change has been with us for centuries. 5,000 years ago the Sahara was fertile and, as it dried up, people congregated in the upper Nile valley.
With a mega drought California would become a desert like the Sahara did; and go from a rich ( if broke and spendthrift state) to a very poor one.
Stay tuned. Good luck.
