May be able to get some VV 3N38. I am looking at doing coated 135gr 9mm loaded quite stout (at least for 9mm) Would this be a good choice? I have no experience with VV at all and I am almost out of Unique and cannot get any WSF. Appreciate the advice

It will work well for very stout loads. Guys use it a lot for Major 9 loads. It is slow, so won't download to target velocities very well.

3N37 is my favorite all around 9mm powder.

I've loaded thousands with N320 I'm down to about 3 pounds . God knows if it will ever make a return to common stock !

I have been out of N320 for over a year, my all time favorite for 45 Auto 200gr LSWC's. I used up all my WST and BE after that, I am down to using Green Dot, thankfully I quit using the GD for shot shell as I load 3/4 oz for Skeet loads nowadays.... :(

Haven't loaded 3N38 in 135grs, but loaded in 9mm/147 and .40/165gr this powder takes both bullets to a higher level using published data. The 9mm/147gr chronographed ~1150fps. Like any published load, start low and carefully work your way higher.
