Just bought this mold, http://leeprecision.com/1-oz-slug-mold.html, and the instructions do no list the powders that I have on hand: Green Dot and Red Dot. I just need a starting and max load just for paper punching.

Also looking for the same using a .690 round ball just for paper punching.

These will be just fun loads used at the range.

Thanks.

Do you already have hulls or other components?

For wads I have found the WAA12SL works pretty well with the lee slug. There are a lot of recipes that will work with Red Dot and some for Green Dot, depending on the hulls you want to use, primers, etc.

I use the following load...
-------------------------
Remington GunGame Hull
Win209 Primer
36.5 Grains of Accurate #5
WAA12-SL wad (or claybuster equivelent)
20 gauge over shot card (helps the wad disconnect from the slug)
1ox lee slug

I know you wanted recipes for Red Dot or Green Dot, but Lee didnt list any recipes for them, so I save those for bustin clays.

If you want to learn about slugs and rb loads go here.

.662/16ga ball will probably give you the best results with the least work.

I have both you mentioned and 6 more slug molds too.

The .690 ball is too big for the wads and too small for paper
patching, it can be done but there is better.

There is a group buy here, I have not used his moulds and I
don't know him, he may be good to go.
