Anybody try this new IMR 8208 XBR powder in .223? Was in the Rez border town where my house is (working on it to flip) and went into the usually way overpriced gun shop looking powder and all they had was 2lbs of IMR 8208 XBR.
Data states good for .223. Anybody try it yet?

I have not tried it for .223. I gave a pound a try loading ladders using 168gr BTHP's in my 308 bench gun. The powder meters well and I found a few nodes that showed promise with corresponding low SD's.

When I happen upon it again, I will be trying it in my .223 bolt gun.

Well, I'll load up a few when I get back to New Mexico and share what I can.

Decent speeds and excellent accuracy.
Also use it for my 60 ballistic tip load.
Consistent like Varget without the metering hassles.

That's good to hear. Can't wait to get back home and load up some test rounds.

Only powder I use in 65 Grendel. Temperature stable (good for New Mexico).

I use it with 69 gr and 75 gr bullets. Very happy with it and use it with my service rifle matches.
