glock 36 case support?????

i was thinking of trading my g26 for a g36.the nine is fine and a good little gun, i just have an afinity towards .45's

so, i was looking at one and noticed that the feedramp was different looking than my g30. i did not have one to compare at the time and was going on memory. when i got home and looked at my g30, it was indeed different than the g36. why?

it looks like they hogged out the feedramp on the 36, not leaving much case support, i think......

was this an optical illusion or does the 36 have less case support than the 30?

I believe it was done to facilitate better feeding on the G36 due to it's narrower barrel. If you will notice even the barrel walls are thinner on the G36 compared to the G30. The kaboom issue will be the same as with the G30 as kaboom is more an issue of charge rather than support. MOO
