We're going Sunday, and I have all my gear together finally :)... Sidearmor sent a mag pouch that looks great, with another on the way, and a Hat of course (it gets hot and sunny at the range). A good buddy gave me a great deal on a good IWB that he doesn't use for his G21 (He's been carrying that pistol for about 11 years now). A case of ball ammo and I'm good to go. A great weekend coming up here...

Give us a full report....I'm thinking of getting a G30 and would like to hear your impressions. Have fun, and be safe!

Another good reason for a hat is sometimes those hot freshly ejected shells like to land between your shooting glasses and your eyeballs.
Have a great time!!
Just bought my G30 Friday and got to shoot it... Wow I am really impressed with the size of the gun vs the size of the 230 grain chunk of lead.... I already have a G20 10mm but now its has a playmate at the range..

I just picked up a GLOCK 30 too and will shoot it first thing tomorrow at the indoor range... I bought 500 rounds of Winchester white box 230gr ball; I figure about 250 round through it should give it a good "break in". :-)
I added a hogue slip on grip just because I really like them, but the glock grip on the g30 is a little bit short and you have to trim off the extra... Otherwise it gives it a fat cushy feel....

We went shooting and it is really nice. The stock trigger setup isn't bad, soft shooting & accurate- several mags into one ragged hole at about 21 feet. Handy size for ten rounds of .45ACP. The grip is better than I thought it would be. I like this pistol a lot.
Then I put a NY #1 (olive) trigger spring in, based on my old 2nd Gen G23 which does well with one. Trigger pull was much harder than I expected, and I have to pull the trigger assembly out & check again that everything is right. Otherwise, this G30 is really nice and handy.;c
Well, I finally got mine to the range and put 250 rounds of Winchester whitebox 230gr ball through it - it shoots like butter!
9 & 10-ring city at 30 feet no problem.
Beyone that it's better than me. :-)
I think I'll add the sand decal grips next (I had the Tricons installed when I picked it up).
I'm very happy with my new Glock 30.
a great place to get the sand paper is a local skate board shop... The carry it in a big sheet so you can customize it to your specs. Plus its only about 2 bucks... I found that it is a big scratchy on your clothes so I went with the houge slip on cover and trimmed it.
