View Full Version : sig conversion
I just bought a .357 sig bbl for my G22. Was told by dealer that nothing else was required, including a different recoil spring.
Does everyone concur with that? ........THANKS

Yes if its a stock G31 barrel it will just drop in.
The G22 and G31 do in fact share the same recoil spring/rod.
My only suggestion is if you have any feeding problems that you may want to get a few factory .357sig mags.
The followers were diffrent in some and can cause problems feeding.
BTW....All of my preban FML G22 mags work 100% with .357sig ammo:)
As long as you have a 3rd generation weapon, everything will be ok.

Do the G31 mags fit properly into the G22?
Lincoln
ChaneyD--I lived in Michigan for 10 years--south of Detroit at a place called Grosse Ile. Where is Galesburg? I seemed to remember seeing signs on I-94 over around Kalamazoo, but not sure--just curious!
Grosse Ile is an Island in the Detroit River south of Detroit and Windsor, Canada.

Yes the G31 mags fit in a G22.
On the same note, I am assuming that I can drop a G33 barrel into my G27 without mods? It's a 3rd gen.
thanks.
To Lincoln: Galesburg is next to Kalamazoo right off I94.

Yes you can drop a G27 barrel in that G33 and yes you can use G27 or G33 mags;)
You can also drop a G23 or G32 barrel in a G33/G27 but the barrel will stick out about a inch:)
But you CAN NOT!!! drop in a G31/G22 barrel as the locking lug is diffrent and it wont work.

Okay.. so since a G27 fits in a G33, then a G33 will fit in G27 right? Just want to make sure before I order the G33 barrel.

Yep with no problems a G33 barrel will fit a G27.
You can do these swaps between guns with factory glock barrels....
G33/G27. (Note...on the G33/G27 you can also interchange with the G32/G23 but the barrel will stick out a inch when you use the mid size gun barrel in the sub compact) It does work and I have tryed it myself.
You CAN NOT!!! swap a G31/G22 barrel in any other glock other than a G31/G22 as the locking lugs are diffrent on the G33/G27,G32/G23 than the ones used on a G31/G22.
Also the only way to use a 9mm barrel is to get a aftermarket one such as KKM,Bar-sto,federal,jarvis,etc...The factory glock 9mm barrel WILL NOT fit in any other glock other than a 9mm glock.
