I recenly got some Mepro night sights installed on my G30. But the thing is that I had the chance to get Ameriglo night sights for $10 more. I liked how the Ameriglo looks but i just couldnt think about spending $90.00 on some night sights. Now that is haunting me telling me that I should have bought the Ameriglos instead of the Mepros. I just try not to think about it. What would you guys have chose?
Well I don't really know for sure, but I do remember Ameriglo sights costing quite a bit less just a few months ago, so much so that I was going to get myself a set. Now however I see that they cost as much or more than an established brand (Meps) and I can't see paying that much for them... Mostly I'm sure that is just a reaction to seeing the price jump in the span of a few months by 30+ bucks, but regardless I think you did just fine with the Meps... :)

not to be a stick in the mud.......but i have them on my g26, and in retrospect i wouldnt do it again.
when i was a trooper i was never issued any gun with n/s. no regular street cop i know has them on their duty gun.... and if you practice point shooting (spare me....) sights are almost non existant anyway.
if i have to hide and can get behind cover, and have time to aim my shotts then n/s would be nice.
but in a civilian c.c.w. encounter with an attcker, i seriously doubt they would be even noticed in the blur of your life that passed before you could do anything except what came reflexively, if you train i hope.
they are nice, but i dont feel the need.
hope you never have to use your gun in self defense, and if you do, i hope you have the luxery of the time it will take to aim your gun with its night sights.

Snake Eyes I like the Meps. You won't be sorry.;)
snakeyes.. i think you made a good choice. i personally have trijicon novak style nights on mine. i was told by a few very reputable sources about companys like ameriglo or others like that. they will give 10 yr. warrantys ect. after a year or two. they will go out of buisness. start under new name so they dont have to replace spent sights......
dont know if its exactly true, but all kinds of companys do this stuff world wide to scam consumers...

Thanks for all the input guys.. I feel much better about my decision now. :)
I have both meps (factory), and trij. I would go meps in retrospect, and will when/if I ever need more. Ameriglos will rust on the weapon. I've seen them do it. Personally, I like the two color system of NS. None of mine have that, but IF I could I would. HTH

I don't think they're necessary and won't buy any again. But the Mepro's are excellent and in my night sight buying days that was my choice.
The Ameriglo's were overpriced, they usually run less than Meps.
I'm into them more for the fact that they are steel. Being NS is just gravy.

I finally took the Dawg out after the night sights, It was shooting a couple of inches higher at 7 yrds. Has that happened to anyone?
