How to eliminate trigger overtravel??

I've noticed on my new G30 that there is a good bit of overtravel when the trigger breaks. This produces a noticeable flicker downward immediately proceeding the 'click'of the striker fall. This is most evident when the LaserMax is turned on.
Just for experimentation I've tried various temporary shims between the rear of the trigger and the trigger guard, and this eliminates the downward flicker. Even when stock, this occured. I now have the drop-in 3.5# comp trigger setup and still have this condition...is there an adjustment for this? Thanks all.

Hmmm, I got out my g36 and got to checking for over travel. I couldn't help but notice that due to the nature of the plastic and metal stamping that I could get over travel merely by squeezing. I could watch the flex of the trigger bar. I can't help but wonder how much of the over travel can be trained out of the shooter. Now I have the 3.5lb connector so it snaps pretty easily.

I put a titanium firing pin in and the trigger ;m s dead after the striker falls. Its worth the 60 bucks i think. I just got my 27 today and i am ordering one for it as i type.
