View Full Version : G30 accuracy
What is it that makes this little guy so accurate? I've been following the threads here on the G30 and have decided to purchase one this week-end. I love my G21 and would never sell it. Accuracy is okay with me on this weapon. Need to carry a .45 so that's the reason for the G30 purchase. Want to switch from my G32 carry.
No one has ever been able to explain why the G30 is so accurate. Could be the stiffness of the short barrel and frame. Anyway, the G30 also seems to take about 300 rounds for break-in before optimum accuracy is achieved. Of all my Glocks, I shoot my G30 best in slowfire, and my G19 best in rapid fire.
The G30 is definately my most accurate GLOCK.

I shot a G30 for the first time at the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival in Memphis, Ten. I own and carry a G19, and from what I could tell there was hardly any difference in muzzle flip and accuracy. The only targets they had set up at the range were standard size sporting clays, hung on some chicken wire. So you are talking about 3 or 4 inches of target, but the G30 was dead on em.

DannyR thanks for the info. This question has been driving me nuts, why is it the 30 is so point& aim dead on accurate? Being my first 45acp., I was impressed and confused, the other Glock models were accurate but not nearly as the g30! I do agree about the 19's fast follow up shots. Many Glocks later it's finally down to owning two, G30& G19.;)
