View Full Version : 33 trouble
I have problems with accuracy with my 33 and it is bummin me out man. I love the .357sig round and dont have problems with any of my other compact hand guns, matter of fact I shoot best with my g30.
Has anyone else noticed the 33 not being that accurate?
I was thinking of getting a KKM barrel for it, has that made a major diffrence with any of you guys or gals?
Thanks for your input in advance.

You really didn't give enough info to make an educated guess about this. Several others on GT say their G33 is the most accurate handgun they own.
What ammo are you using?
Are you using proper grip?
Proper trigger control?
Sight alinement?
Is the gun too small for your hands? The G30 is a big gun compared to the G33.
What are you group sizes with different ammo?
Is the gun stock?
Is the bore rough/pitted?

Of my Glocks, the G33 is hands down the most accurate...SCARY ACCURATE! ;v

dont take this the wrong way but it sounds like a case of the flinch/trigger jerk to me.
I have a pair of G33's and they are VERY accurate small guns.
Freehand at 25 yards I can put all the rounds I have in the mag plus the one in the pipe into a small practice target.
Might want to try some dummy practice rounds inbetween your live rounds to see if you can catch yourself flinching (if thats the case that is)
Nothing beats practice and more practice until you really "Know" the gun.
I am hopeing it is triger jerk or some other bad habbit in my shooting technique, but I shoot realy well with my other hand guns.
My gun is stock. No pitting in barrel. I have tried the plus one extention, which I dont want to use for carry. I used blazer the first 150 rounds. Then shot 500 of the caned heat from Georgia arms.
I dont seem to shoot any groups, priety much all over the target, if I had to pick I would say mostly low.
I have to say I am realy glad to hear that no one else has problems with acuracy with the 33. That just means it is me and I need more practice with that round and I am more than happy to work on it. I just wanted to if others found the 33 less acurate. Like I said before my 30 is dead on.
when the G26 came out I was amazed how many officers I knew that shot perfect scores with their G26 during qualifications. I had to be different and bought a G33, althought it recoils more, I find my G33 pretty impressive and very accurate for such a small gun.

My G33 is ACCURATE!
It was hitting a little low and left. A tight group but low left. Some of the self-procalaimed experts kept telling me I was doing something wrong. (I've only been shooting for about 200 years)
Some of the "experts" also told me that an inch or two won't make a difference in a defense gun.
I will not own a gun that doesn't hit exactly where I point it. I may have to place a shot very carefully so I want it to be on the money. In a survivial situation I don't won't to be wasting ammo by shooting all around a spruce hen's head.
All I needed was a sight adjustment. I added the Mepro adjustable night sights and now I can give a spray paint can an extremely hard time at 80 yards. A bowling pin at 40 yards is quickly turned to splinters and plastic pieces.
If yours ain't right, let someone else shoot it to verify it is the gun.
Then fix whichever is the problem.
Then practice, practice, practice.

bustedknee gave some very sound advise.
You may also try shooting from a bench and see if its any diffrent.

I was used to my Kimber. It took me a little while to get used to the different style Grip of the G33. I kept thinking,"This should kick more!" ;I ;G
