I assume you're primarily referring to setback caused by rechambering the same round over and over again. If so, there are several "fixes" for this problem:
- Rotate your chambered round to a "practice ammo bin" after it has been chambered several times. This gives you a source of carry ammo to practice with every once in awhile, and keeps the chambered round from getting so loose that it causes problems.
- Change ammo. If the ammo you are using seems prone to this problem, try something else.
- Consider reducing the number of load/unload cycles (leave the gun chamber-loaded). Store it in a locked case or electronic/mechanical "quick-access box" in your safe or storage area, to keep it separate from the other guns. You could even mark it with a "loaded" tag until you place it in the holster for your next armed use.

1. safe-t-block - leave in gun all the time it is loaded - pull safe-t-blocked gun out of holster and put loaded gun into lockbox
2. loaded gun in holster - remove holster with gun in it - put holster and loaded gun in lockbox

If you reload, use AA9. I have found that full loads of the stuff are great and you can try to force setback and little happens. It is the only powder I use for the sig because of that.
Great round the sig, Shot 350 rnds of it today! What fun, what fun!

Rusty -- good idea!
I use 12.8 of wc820, case full and good performance.
case full + no setback even with fmjrn. use a firm crimp.

Odd as after about 10k rounds, I have had to toss maybe 8 rounds for setback problems.. Note that I do chamber a round only once..
I bought some Golden Sabers because they were reletively cheap. They had a lot of setback problems with them. I didn't re-chamber rounds a lot either. There were two in a box of 50 that had not been in a gun with bullet set back. Heads up on Golden Sabers.

i was having the same problem and concern as you, when i started doing some research on safety locks that i could use and leave the round in the chamber, The saf-t-blok does the job, there is a guy on gunbroker that sells them pretty cheap and whats cool about the saf-t-blok if you want extra securty you can use a key lock with it also, it helps if you have small ones running around the house......regards
I had 3 girls and never had trouble with them touching my guns. Of course when they were old enough we shot the guns when they wanted to, and when they were little there butts hurt when they thought about touching.
Best to all
