Since CCI stopped making Blazer I have started to use Georgia Arms "Canned Heat". Yesterday I had a case failure that astounded me.
While picking up my brass I noticed what looked like the bottom half of a cartridge on the ground; it actually was the bottom half of a fired cartridge. A little farther away I found the matching top half of the cartride; the pieces fit perfectly.
At no time while I was firing did my G32 even burp once and it seems to have survived whatever happened to split my cartridge case in two pieces. What a pistol !!

However, out of the first 500 rounds purchased from GA I had 3 with bullet setbacks and this one that somehow split itself in two pieces. All of the four cartridges mentioned were "R P" cases (Remington ??)
I will post pictures of these cartridges when I can and I intend to send a copy to GA, also.

My experience with GA does not inspire confidence in their product. Their service is also questionable: I have been waiting since June 23 for my latest order. Can we do anything to convince CCI to resume making Blazer ??

The .357sig cartridge is less forgiving to improper manufacturing/reloading than most cartidges. When it comes to packing a cartridge with the punch of the .357, I prefer to put good ammo through my pistols. For plinking I will usually go with S&B .357sig and Speer Lawman for training.

Also, I didn't know that Speer had stopped making Blazer in .357sig. The ones that they did produce were already fairly toned down, but I guess using the aluminum casings still didn't provide enough strength to handle the pressures.;g

I have shot thousands of rounds of GA ammo and only had one bad round.
I took the round to show them at the next gunshow and they were nice enough to give me 50 rounds of gold dot JHP (shear power plus) just for the mess up.
Very nice people to deal with and they will take care of ya.

BTW I have 4 guns chambered for .357sig and shoot a ton of the GA stuff in them and Im yet to see a setback.

I didn't know they used RP brass. All my ammo from them has been speer and I think starline(??) or something like that. I have not had any problems with the 3000 rnds from them.

I've had two failures with their reloaded 357sig in about 2000rds. Both were with Speer nickel-plated brass.

One was a split case, it didn't affect function at all.

The other was a case seperation, and the forward half got stuck in the chamber of my XD357 :( It looked fairly beat up before I fired it. I quickly inspect them all now as I load. My most recent batch seems to be all Win brass and seems very good.

That's why you should reload your own 357 sig!

You inspect your cases, discard the questionable ones.

Drop your own powder in the cases.

Seat your own bullets and crimp to your specs to avoid bullet setback.

If you noticed this before firing, why would you put it on your pistol?
