Well i posted this in the general area, but decided to ask the Big Dawgs, which of course, know best!;e I'm trying to decide which one to pick up tomorrow. The G21 or G30? Both fit my average sized hands just fine. But whic to get?
I have G17 but want a .45. This would be used for home defense and target/plinking.
How much more difficult is shooting the 30 compared to the 21?

i have both, but if i was to pick one, i'd get the G30. you never know, one day you may decide to get your concealed carry permit. they are both extremely accurate and reliable and you can use the 13 round G21 magazines in the G30. which ever you choose, you'll have made the right choice.
I have the 21 and I like it alot. It carrys concealed just fine for me.
You can't beat 14 rounds of 45!

I'll sugest you take a good look at the G30 also. I am very happy with mine .

Cast my vote for the 30. Super accurate, and great to shoot.

If your not going to carry concealed go with the 21. If you are gonna carry the 30 may meet your needs better...
I got the 30 first for concealed carry and then got the 21 later. If you aren't going to carry(can you in Ohio?) then I would get the 21 first. Neither is harder to shoot than the other IMHO.
Either way, just get both! ;f

You get 4 more rounds in the 21 but really if you can't hit what you're shooting at in 10 then why are you carrying a gun??

G30. It's amazing how many rounds you can get into such a small package.

I just picked up a 30 yesterday and love it. Shoots great. Get the 30 first and then the 21. You won't be dissapointed.:cool:

I'm all about the G21. Especially if you have a pre-ban 13 round mag with the +4 extension.....17 rounds of .45 is the best feeling!

I can't shoot the 21 very well, but I shoot the 30 VERY well (you'd think it'd be the other way around, but I work that way with fullsize and compact Glocks for some reason....shoot the 19 better than the 17 as well). The 30 is also my carry gun.
If you can fit them both within your budget, get one of each. I have a 21 and a 30 and love both of them.
If I had to part ways with one, the 30 will stay. I am willing to bet that anyone who has a 21 and a 30 feels the same as I do regarding the two.:)

a while back i was trying to trade my g30 for a g21 on this board. no dice, not even one bite.
guess things have changed since then.

Get a Glock 30. If you really need the extra rounds just get a g21 13 round mag with grip extenders. :) Like so
