View Full Version : G21 magazine ?
I'm not familiar with 13round pre-ban mags, so this question may seem a little preschool. What's the difference between the stock vs. pre-ban magazines (other than the capacity)? Are the mag. tubes the same height? If so, are the mag springs or followers different sizes? The reason I'm asking, If you or possible (FRIEND) can order different size springs and followers. Presto instant high-cap mags!!!!!

The magazine tube, spring and follower are all different on the neutered 10 round magazines than those used on the standard 13 round magazine, while the follower will fit the neutered magazine the spring will not clear the humps inside the magazine tube. Short of a major remanufacturing of the magazine tube I don't see any way to convert a neutered 10 round into a standard 13 round magazine.

The followers and springs don't have anything to do with the mag capacity. The chickenshict, Klintonista mags have ribs molded into the steel sidewalls, said ribs solely for the purpose of restricting the volume of the mag tube.
Damn, I thought a possible friend in the L.E. could accidentally(he,he) lose a few parts to a mag. Then, who knows what could happen. There goes a great dream. Thought it might be a good try for well under $70 to $100 dollars. I thought as long as the mags didn't say L.E. they could be considered pre-ban.

The reason why G21 ten round mags can't hold more than ten rounds is because the witness holes only go up to "10".;) ;f ;e
Seriously, WalterGA is right about the ribs/ridge-lines inside the G21 ten round mag body. These are basically what prevent stuffing more than ten rounds into the mag body. Actually, the tolerance of those ribs makes getting ten rounds in the mag a very tight fit. Hopefully the Ban will sunset next year and brand new cheap Glock factory thirteen round mags can start flowing again after ten long years.:)
