Seems that there are a lot of new members so I have decided to call roll so we could get to know each other a little better.

Nothing personal just maybe where you at right now. For those transplants like me, where in the Phils. did you grew up?

Pretty simple and non-intrusive don't you think???

Okay for me, Texas but originally from Cebu

Yup! Just got the papers this morning for me to fill up, then I'll send it back to RP for processing. My bro-in-law is handling the papers for me. Mikey was the one who pointed me to Ultra Systems where he bought his 85C. I like the G17 for its modern look but as I read here, trigger's quite heavy. Also, first time I went to a gunstore (Harrison Plaza, I think} back in '95, I was introduced to an 85B and fell in love with her immediately. Pinigilan ko lang sarili ko nuon kasi I was a bit hot-headed then, baka mapa-trouble lang. hehe;i...so, you may say, "may personalan kami nung CZ85."

Hey EddieC nice of you to drop by. :)

Bass One, of course you're welcome here! This place is like a rainbow coalition of gun owners. A good number has CZ's, some 1911s, and a plethora of other brands. Though majority of us also own Glocks.

St.Croix, village ka nakatira? :) I heard the reason why the new parts of Paranaque doesnt have a good water supply is because the water pipes are not as good as the ones used in the old part (the Poblacion and the surrounding areas). Apparently, the new part of Paranaque was a former bukid which is why there wasnt any point in installing a water system during the time the old towns were installed their water system. Not really sure if its heresay or fact but I have heard this story more than once during some of my research on Paranaque for my school term papers or thesis.

Believe it or not, I was working on mending those pants this morning. I tried doing it with this little handheld sewing machine I got for $10, but it looks like I'm going to have to do it by hand instead. ;f

Hey, BULM5 . . . (you need to change your handle to S-V_Dude!)

It was good meeting you in person! It's interesting that we met each other's brother at previous matches. I'll tell mine you said hello.

I always have a good time, but I had one of my worst matches ever, and the same at Kentucky the week before. I think I used-up all of my match mojo getting out of that bed on Stage 1. I did that without any trouble at all, but then I realized I had no plan for the actual shooting! The three double feeds on stage 7 sealed my fate!

But, as well all know, after safety, #2 is "have fun" and #1 is look good while you're doing it!

I'm sending the slide of my Kimber back to Kimber for repairs today (and all of my other 1911s are in the shop), so I'm probably going to shoot production until after the new year with a Browning BDM.

Oh! Let me know when Jaime gets the photos developed . . .

PS Most of my family are from Pampanga. The very few words and phrases I know are all kapampangan, so I'm even more lost when everyone speaks Tagalog or another dialect!

Rhino45, How are you?. You did great at stages 4,5 & 6, you beat Wayne P. at stage 3. Teddy has a bad deal at #7, they post his time as 163.58, instead of 16.35. He called G. I'm fine, thanks! I hope you fellows are well!

Thanks for the kind words . . . I was happy with my performance on those stages, but I could still do a lot better on my target to target transitions. I'll have to give Wayne P. some grief on stage 3 . . . because I messed up too!

Sorry to hear about Teddy . . . at least there wasn't a big prize table involved, but it's still no good when an error like that happens. Looks like it cost him about 140 match points and several places in the standings.

Yup, Stage one also sealed my fate, had 70 penalty points, failed to engaget he steel taht activited the mover and failed to engage the targets on my Right side after you run intot he house, Oh well maybe next year. he shooting range owned by the TWRA opened last weekend, hoping I could practice every weekend.

Sounds like being a little too excited for the first stage!

That stage took a lot of thinking, either beforehand or on the run. That's one of the features of a good course of fire, I think. I don't like it when it gets so complicated that it becomes a "shooter's trap," though.

Born in Manila, grew up in New York City (town of "Flushing", many Pinoys there.)

Now living in Makati during the workweek and in BF Homes Pque on weekends (hi, St.Croix, yes, I suffer with you , it's water-tank-city out there.) Sayang the water problem in BF Pque, sure killed the land values per square meter.

Mother's province is Palawan, where shooting is possible outside of the cities . Good hunting for wild pigs/bats etc. in some places.

Its a long way from Bulacan to QC. Do you pass by the NLEX every day? I live in Pangasinan but go back to QC every so often, and I'm thankful that they improved the expressway since it significantly cuts my travel time. Too bad about the toll rate increase though.

a little of both

Team PB Dionisio BOGs usually practice at...where else PBD. Sometimes we join them when there is a funshoot.

We, the Armscor BOGs (But not Team Armscor;e ) usually practice at Armscor.

Non-gun club BOGs just hook up with us whenever there's practice since each of us is allowed one guest:cool:

Greetings Doc Lakay!:)
I practice here in Balayan, Batangas and am a visiting consultant at Cardinal Santos Medical Center where I took up my residency in Ophtha eons ago(finished it 9 years ago :)). I don't go to CSMC anymore(talo sa biyahe ;f) unless its a relative or close friend wanting to have Laser treatments(PRP etc.) Kay Doc EC na lang, thanks:)
Here in the province the common folk also don't distinguish between Otorhinolaryngo's and Ophtha's so you have to do your fair share of ENT patients too but we do refer complicated cases to the ENT's here so they won't feel so bad :) Nice to have another doctor here.:)

I'm not Filipino, nor do I play a Filipino on television. However, my wife is originally from Quezon City and a graduate of SPCM (BSN '89) and is over there with our daughters visiting her folks in Botolan, Zambales right now. We reside in the Oklahoma City area otherwise.
