New Glock 30 owner [Archive]

After reading everything about the G30 on this forum, I decided yesterday to purchase a G30. Everything you guys said about it was correct. I took it out last night in the hills and shot at cans from 25-50 yards. The gun worked perfectly without any failures of any kind, there was no problem with recoil, the gun is very accurate and almost shot like a small target gun. I was using PMC .230 grain hardball. I would hit the cans almost every time or come so close that they bounced around. I've never owned Glocks before but I'm sure starting to collect them now. I now have the G30, G20, and have a G29 on order.

Congratulations. Now get some hollowpoints, a holster, and of course, training.......assuming you live in a state you can CCW. :) My G30 lives on my hip.

I picked up a G30 a few months ago and finally got out to shoot it last night and all I can say is Wow! People brag on here about how wonderful they are and now I know why they say the things they do. Perfect fit in the hand, accurate, 10rds of .45, accurate, mild recoil, accurate. Did I mention that thing is accurate. I've always been most accurate with my 19, which I've put 1000's of rounds down range with, but this 30 is awesome from the 1st trigger pull. Definitely, the new CCW piece. Ten rds of 230gr .45 should do the job as well as 15rds of 147gr 9mm, if not better.

Congratulations also Glkster. I also couldn't believe how well that G30 shot. I've read back through everything on this forum about them before I bought mine. I'll be carrying mine also as my CCW. Now I'm going to get a G29.

The G30 was my second Glock, first was a 26.
I rented it at a range when I was on vacation in August of 02. LOVE AT FIRST SHOT. That evening back at the hotel I called my favorite shop and told them to order one for me. It's just amazing.

If you shoot at a range, pretty soon someone is going to wonder why you have that stupid smile on your face:) Let them wonder awhile. Everyone who I've let shoot mine is impressed by it. Glock should give us some stock!

Oh hell yeah, every single person that has shot my 30 has wanted one. Three of my friends have bought them since as their carry guns.

I also must admit;Q i also decided to purchase a G30 because of all the positve things fellow GT members have to say about her. Extremely accurate and not bad recoil for a .45 I went to a range rented it, loved it and had one arrive a week later on Halloween
