Do a search on 'G36 Slide'. There are a couple of posts from members that had the same problem. G36 is my primary carry and I've not experienced any problems not caused by myself (limpwristing, hitting slide lock during shooting, etc). Just scanning through the posts, it looks like the problem may be a bad spring or follower.

I noticed that happening with my G30. I had it looked and and they replaced the slide relase. They showed it to me and it was most definitely bent. Not sure why, but with the new extended slide release, it works great. Can't wait to have one put on my G36.

The only problem that I had w/my G 36 was that it made me curious about the recoil of the G 30. Now I have both. ;f

The G 36 has alot more recoil than the G 30. Due to it's having a lighter slide. But it uses the same barrel & recoil setup as the G 30. The G 36 was my first .45. it took a Wolff 21# setup to tame it for me.

No common problems.

The G36 has more felt recoil and muzzle flip than the G30, but is still quite manageable.

Some folks get their pinkie fingers pinched by the stock G36 floor plate, others don't. If it happens, it's fixed by getting the Pearce extended baseplate.

I've NEVER had the slide fail to lock back on the last round of ANY of my G30s and G36s, shot for years, many tens of thousands of rounds. Maybe new magazine springs are in order if this happens, not new slide stop levers.

Best.

The only one I am positive about is that according to COR-BON, their Hollow Points will not feed reliably in either the 30 or the 36. However, they have developed the PowRBall to rectify the problem.

I have heard about pinching, but I have never had it happen. All things considered, I think the 36 is a fine pistol and a natural shooter. I keep mine close by all the time...

I have had my slide prematurely lock to the rear. I believe it is related to thumb positioning.
