Sounds good guys.

I went to Winfree Firearms, Grafton, VA, yesterday so I could hold (and compare) a G37. They wanted $589.99 for it!!

To add insult to injury, Winfree's is also a massive cigarette outlet, so I had to stand in an extremely smoke filled room to do this. It was so bad I had to go outside for fresh air as I was getting sick (nausea/headache) from it.:( ;L

The lengths we'll go to commune with Glock! I did learn that the extra width of the slide is no big deal. I'll be getting a compact version when it comes out. It won't be from Winfree's. ^b

jgsales.com had one for $479.95 on Tuesday. NEW !!!

I saw it and handled it ... then, passed on it. Looks good tho.

It was on the web site at the "new" bullet, not there now, may have sold, but I imagine they can get more for probably same price.

They are in Northern AZ @ Prescott.

I found a Dealer like 30 mins away that sell it for $469 and another dealer near me for $640 they are crazy.. i got one on layway at the $469 place..

Who and where is this place? I'll call 'em tomorrow. I'll arrange a transfer to a FFL here in Virginny. That's the best price I've seen yet.

I used to go into Ed's almost every week (1989-1992) and "shoot the bull" when he was still in Southern Pines. I ran a Pepsi route that had a stop a couple doors down. Always bought my .223 ammo from him. Ed has always been a great guy, fair, personable, knowledgeable, I can't say enough about him and his store. My buddies (who still live in the area) always shop there when buying guns, ammo, reloading stuff, etc. I've been to his Vass store once, right after coming back from Germany in 1999. I bought a 10 round (just to have-I don't know why) g23 mag and some powder and primers.

Wow, you brought back some good memories.

heh i only been in that store 2 times just to check out that g37 store in fayetteville jims pawn have the same thing for 659 or something like that..thats why i went to the store in vass i go by there everyday on my way to work now im going to start woking nights so i want to have a gun with me by next friday i should have my g37 yeah!!!

Yeah, Jim's is a rip off. The last time I was in there his prices were way too high and the behind the counter help were all know-it-all jerks with attitudes. Haven't been back.

yup bought my g21 from ed when used to be in downtown southeren pines.when looking for my g37 he was 489 , must have had a price drop, ended up gettin mine for 460 , but yeah in nc in the central and sandhills ed have the best prices period. jims in fayettenam sucks ,all *******s who work there . hj
