As long as he wants to cook, it sounds fine to me. I am very thankful that I can cook. If it ends up presentable, we'd like to see that table! ;f

How about a nice rosemary herbed turkey breast?
Note the Sabatier carving knife and the Royal Dalton Marisol china plate.
(General Sherman went to cooking school)

I don't know if I would call this my favorite dish, but it was an interesting Halloween treat.

I'm far from a gourmet chef, but this was absolutely delicious. I think I may have used a little too much butter though ;)

I've never seen Shrimp Scampi served over steamed rice before. Is this that new East-meets-West "Fusion" cooking? ;f

http://www.hunt101.com/img/074919.jpg

The Sauce:
1-18 Oz. Can Hunts,Contadina or Red Pack Tomato Paste
5-Full Cans of water
1-Cup Spanish Paprika
1-Cup Cayenne Pepper
1-Tablespoon Commercial Liquid Smoke
1-Tablespoon Ground Clove
1/2-Teaspoon MSG
1-Heaping Tablespoon Celery Salt
1-Tablespoon Salt

Heat Tomato Paste then add water 1 can at a time making sure it is well mixed, do this with the rest of the water. Add the remaining ingredience in the posted order. Bring to a boil turn down and simmer 2 to 3 hours. It just gets better everytime you reheat it.

Freezes well and will last a long time hell nothing could grow in it...

Still, once in a while, if you find some that are nice and hard, with bright green streaks.... oh, yeah... delicious :)

Here is a cake I had for Thanksgiving. Not my favorite, but pretty good and turned out really pretty;)

I can't remember the name exactly but something like fudge or double chocolate Kahula (sp?) pound cake.

I'll post the recipe if anybody wants it.

misskitty5077, that cake looks scrumptious. :)

No, I don't want a recipe, I get enough calories already ;f

yep, beef cut into strips, a small red pepper, a small orange pepper, a couple jalapenos, some onion, some chili garlic sauce, and some hot chili sesame oil.

no recipie, everything just eyeballed. turned out good though.

i only recently decided that i was going to learn how to actually cook stuff instead of microwaving everything so my repertoire is somewhat limited so far. :)

This thread is hilarious!

Anybody out there a diabetic like me? Jeez, sure puts a crimp on one's being able to slurp down tasty food.

OK, back to my lettuce and water.

I mean if we're going to post food with our firearms, the least we can do is show a tactical knife as well! None of this sissy steak knife stuff! :)

Looks like a big hassle that doesn't actually taste very good. I could be wrong though. The sclera of the eyeballs (white part) looks like hard boiled egg whites.

I've been known to take pictures of stuff I cook. Can't find most of them for some reason. But here is one that we have from time to time gotten from the Weber Big Book of Grilling: Kansas City style ribs:

And here is what is used to make this:
