It went very well, and the advise I took from here on the 165gr .308 worked very well also. I used 165gr sierra, (Federal game king)1 shot at about 200 yards went clean through she took a couple steps back and fell. Thanks for the advise it helped make my 1st Elk hunt a success.

That cow will make some really good eating. My buddy has one from Colorado and one from Arizona. I still haven't gotten a dang invite for steaks!!!:( Congratulations.
