Well, since BrokenArrow (Mike) just got rid of his G37 after firing 1000 rounds (and sharing with friends), I decided to take up the banner. ;b

I just picked up 2 G37's, with serial numbers back to back, although XXX rated with FUCxxx serial numbers. ;P

I was also fortunate enough to pick up 5 extra mags that Keith Sporting Goods happened to have(Gresham, OR). He sells a heck of a lot of guns and agencies like to visit him as well. Some of the local agencies are testing the 45gap now. Should be interesting.

The G37's look beautiful and Xena like strong. It's actually not clear that the slide is wider than the frame without closely examing it. Even the Sales Guy selling me the gun said there was no width difference until I turned the gun upside down so he could see the slight difference.

I'm already beginning to formulate my propaganda pro 45GAP article.

If anybody finds any reloading data on 230 grain bullets in GAP format, please let me know.;a

I can't wait to read your article. I love my 37! Check out the reloading section of glock talk. there is a thread there on the GAP. I posted some 230 gr stuff with powders we had on hand, 700x and HP38. Good luck
safe shooting

Hey Pete,

Does Keith's have any G37's in stock? I saw two at the last Portland Expo show. Keith had one for 505.00 and another dealer was selling one for 507.00 I think. Anyway, I talked with this guy and after briefly chating with him, he asks me if I knew what GAP stands for? I said it stands for Glock Automatic Pistol. Apparently he thought he was the only one in the universe that was supposed to know this info. ;Q Then with a dumb-founded look and a nervous grin, he says to me that I must have already known what it meant because I read it on the slide. Sure, whatever you say boss! ;i
Now if this wasn't enough, he goes on to say that the G37 is a weird gun and that he didn't even know why bothered to pick one up. That makes alot of sense. Buy a gun to sell even though you don't like it and then talk trash about it to a potential customer! ^2

I bought one G37 at Keith's store. The second one had just returned from a show. Sounds like he will get more in, as well as more mags. He's starting to run short on ammo but will replenish it. That's why I like Keith. He supports stuff even if it isn't blessed by the majority yet. ;)

Yeah, ain't some sales folks fun to talk to (hee hee).

Pete,

When and where will your article appear? Excuse my ignorance, please :) I just stumbled upon this forum and I have been reading and reading all I can find on the G37 including all the magazine reviews. I'm very interested in one and had a chance to handle it at my local gun shop. I was very, very impressed but the availability of ammo scares me. However, I want to know more about them because I think (so far) that this model was tailor-made for me!

Thanks!

I'll probably post it on my little 45gap site that I need to build up
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/petej/ I'm still digging up 45gap info as well.

You might visit the Caliber forum and read through the "45GAP better than the 45ACP" thread. Lot's of interesting stuff there from several different view points.

cheers,
