Can I shoot Wolf ammo out of my glock 21.Ive heard about the steel case might break the extractor,big deal.costs about 10.00 at the most to fix. If that is the only problem,then I can handle that risk and save on the ammo cost.At $ 6.00 a box of wolfe .45 its a bargain.

I've shot thousands of rounds of it.
And true, IF, it ever broke an extractor, it's a few bucks, and 2 minutes to replace.

It more than makes up for the money saved in shooting that many rounds.

I know a guy who has fired thousands of rounds through a Walther P99, without as much as wiping the frame off.

He has a Kimber .45 that eats at least a case of Wolf every week and a half.

I think it's all urban legend about breaking parts.
But if it's true, like we already mentioned....

Whenever I've heard of Wolf and parts breakage it's always:

Wolf is steel cased and the harder steel cases (could, or might, or may) lead to early parts breakage or wear.

To really prove it beyond a doubt you'd have to get about half a dozen identical guns, take 3 of them and shoot only brass cased ammo (say Win white box) and the other 3 and shoot only Wolf. Keep shooting until parts are broken.

My hypothisis is that if you did this test with Glocks you'd still be shooting them 10 years from now, your hands would be bloody from loading mags, the Glocks would still be going with only minor parts breakage, and you'd never be able to tell the difference between the guns that shot the Wolf and the guns that shot the Winchester White box.

I'm willing to participate in the testing if anyone can pony up the money for 6 Glocks and about half a million rounds each of Wolf and Winchester White Box. ;f

I'd like to shoot American made ammo actually.

What gets me is why someone doesn't make steel cased ammo here.
I just can't get over the fact that you can save .06 per sound over Wal Mart WWB by using Wolf.

Hell, that's just about a free case per case that you shoot. I can't pass up a free case per month.
