I'm planning on it. Too much fun to miss. I down loaded a mustang into FS2004 and have been flying the pylons at Stead. Its harder than it looks on the simulator, I cant imagine what its like for real. I'm doing more sunscreen this year however.

Just checked the web site. http://www.airrace.org/

Looks like the 2004 dates are Sept 16-19.

There are no daily schedules up yet, but I'll probably go on the friday. The show is just as good with 1/2 the crowds. Only down sides is that the top racers in each category dog it a little (saving it up for the finals).

Well, now, looks like I'll try to adjust things to a later TO.
BIB (babe in back) usually has no problem with schedule changes.. usually.

No, the races. I haven't been to a Tailhook convention since the last Vegas one in '91. Gad, it's been that long?!?

Sometimes I wonder where all the time has gone.

Don't forget the weekday heat races and qualifying! In '03, Skip Holm and Dago Red (see my avatar) broke the 500 mph lap hurdle during quals. If memory serves, he did it for five or six consecutinve laps to put Rare Bear in her place (who came out of the gate after a three year hiatus to qualify at over 490 mph - an astounding feat in itself).

Those screaming Merlins get about as much from the old 'suck, squeeze, BANG!, blow' as possible.

Got any info as to accomodations down there??

Most of the casino hotels are demanding a three night minimum stay for that weekend (that bastages), and the rates for that weekend are higher than any other for the entire year.

The only one I know of that is really nice but doesn't stick it to you is the Atlantis. If you're going to go, get your accomodations NOW. Reno will be booked solid by March.

Speaking of the Reno Air Races, here's my favorite girl:

*WoWzErS!* ;G;G;G;G What a looker!
The article is just a little dated, though.. she's now on the MD-11 and not the DC-10 at FedEx..
I love calling her up at 2am to work a flight...
She and her husband Steve are real good folks..

Its hard to say. A flight suit can hide a lot of assets,...... or liabilities for that matter. But I'll take your word for it.

you din't click on the link? ... her pic is right there..
and there are a couple other smaller pics on the side that you can enlarge.. ;) .. plus some at the bottom of the article.

and for a professional pilot, she's a knockout... many of the ones i've seen are not overly feminine in appearance ...
