New: Diet Coke with Lime

Was grocery shopping this afternoon and walked past a table where a demonstrator was handing out samples of the new Diet Coke with Lime.

Being a marketing type and just plain curious I tried some.

Not bad! The lime taste is slight, natural-tasting, and pleasant. It does not taste overpowering like Pepsi twist.

Ended up taking home a six pack. Did not get the female demonstrator's phone number, though. Damn the bad luck. ;)

I will have to look for that IF I ever get out of the house. I am a lime fanitic!

Right now we have six inches of snow under sleet for the rest of tonight with freezing rain coming tommorrow.

Don't think I will be trying it for a couple days:(

When you get some be sure to enjoy it with a batch of "Deep S*** Cookies" from the recipe I posted earlier on this forum. ;f

Wife likes it and buys it in cans and 2-liter. I can't stand it...nasty. I'll keep my regular Diet Coke. Why mess up a good thing?

I tried it yesterday and I really liked it. I think lime is a lot better than lemon anyway.:cool:

It tastes like somebody sprayed a little furniture cleaner in my Coke.

Perhaps if it were mixed with rum it would be okay, but on it's own -- it is horrible! :)

I don't like the majority of diet sodas, with the exception of Diet Dr. Pepper. However I actually like the Diet Coke w/Lime, but i think i will just stick with Coffee, tea, water and beer.

I hope it tastes better than Diet Coke with lemon. That stuff was total ass. Don't ge tme wrong I do like lemon in my coke (fresh) but Diet Coke Lemon tasted like you were sucking on lemon rinds and not the fruit.

I don't drink too many soft drinks. Mainly water with a slice of lime tossed in.

It's about time that Coke came out with something that tasted good. Adding lime to diet Coke was a great choice.......;f

i love limes, but it seems that the only limes i drink are in coronas.

there arent many chances to eat em other than jello or key lime pies. mmmmmmmmm

do you think there would be any way to take the diet coke taste out, and just have a lime flavored water? the diet coke ruins the taste.

if i was gonna drink any diet soda, i would drink water instead cause it has more flavor.

I kinda dig it. Enough to buy it? Maybe, maybe not. But it's definitely better than the Diet Coke with lemon. Blecch.
